Any woman eighteen years or older, who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence, is eligible to join the Daughters of the American Revolution. She must provide documentation to verify each statement of birth, marriage, death of her ancestors, as well as the American Revolutionary War service of her Patriot ancestor.
